Hillgrove School is an independent day school catering for boys and girls from three years up to sixteen years of age and situated in the University town of Bangor, Gwynedd.
A relatively compact unit with around 150 pupils, Hillgrove is run as a Christian foundation but welcomes children of all religions and denominations. It’s size combined with a high staff/pupil ratio, makes for a friendly atmosphere in which each child can reach his or her potential academically and in other activities including music and sport.
This has also meant that we are able to integrate new pupils into the school at virtually any time during the school year, and to offer the individual attention needed to ensure that there is minimal setback in education progress. This can be of especial value where parents relocate to the area at short notice.
Our Kindergarten or Infant School accepts pupils from the age of four, the Junior School catering for seven to eleven year olds and the Senior School from eleven to sixteen years.
Apart from well qualified and experienced staff, Hillgrove is continually investing in up-to-date teaching facilities - a mix that has achieved excellent GCSE and other test and examination results.
Hillgrove pupils leave to continue further education at sixth form level in any number of local schools and colleges having been given the opportunity to develop social skills and individual strengths to help them develop positively in the future.
